Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. OK, I just signed up, where do I start?

The first thing you should do is read GETTING STARTED. It will walk you through your first steps so you will be up and running in no time. After that, we suggest watching the tutorial videos. They break down how the site works into short, easy to understand videos. Enjoy!
2. How will the monthly charge appear on my bill?
The charge will show up as "QT Office", "Glow Inc." or "QTinventory" depending on your bank.
3. When does the monthly charge occur?
We bill on the 15th of the month. If you sign up for Website Maintenance you will be charged a setup fee and a prorated amount for the first month's maintenance at time of signup. For products with a free trial you will be charged a prorated amount after the trial ends and then billing will pickup on the 15th of the month.
4. If I stop using QT Office, will my information be saved?
Yes, and you will not be charged for your time spent away. Your account will be in "on hold" status. When you want to come back, you will only be charged the normal monthly fee based on your package. If you have not logged in after a 1 year period then your information will be deleted (it would be easier to start over after a year away anyway).
5. Will there be any charges other than my membership fee?
Nope, never! No hidden fees, just the "package amount" each month and no more. And you can change your package at any time.
6. Can I import my customers?
Yes you can. Follow the instructions under "Customers" (did you read the part that says "GETTING STARTED")? You can also watch the video by clicking the video tutorial icon at the top of your screen.
7. Can I import my inventory from InTouch?
Yes you can. Just follow the instructions on the "Inventory" sub-tab. There is also a video under "Video Tutorials" at the top of your screen.
8. I love QT! How can I help?
Tell your friends! Tell your director! Tell everybody! The reason we are able to charge such a small amount for QT Office is that we rely on word of mouth from people like you! =)

Not only that, but you earn free months of QT by giving your username to whomever you share QT with. They can put in your username in the "referred by" box when they sign up and you get a free month. It's as easy as that.
9. What if I use a product myself, How do I track it?
It is very important you keep track of your demo and personal use products. This way you will have an accurate picture of your business. And tracking it is easy. Just go to "Create Invoice" and click "Change Type" under "Invoice Type".

There are several different types of tax write off invoices you can use and more detailed instructions will be on the page depending on the invoice type you pick.
10. How do I track products that I lent out to another consultant?
It's easy, Just use the loaned/borrowed product section located under the "Inventory" icon. There is also a video under "Video Tutorials" at the top of your screen.
11. I have a product that is about to be discontinued, is there a smart way to sell it before it does?
Yes there is! If you look under the inventory tab, and then look for the product that is about to be discontinued, you will notice a "Product History" icon to the right of it. This icon will tell you who purchased this specific product from you in the past. Contact these customers and tell them "I know you have used this product in the past, it will not be available shortly, and I wanted to give you the first chance to stock up before it's too late". Not only will you sell it, but your customers will be impressed you remembered what they have purchased in the past.
12. Help! I have a customer on the phone, and I'm not sure who she is!
Having a lot of customers is good, but keeping track of them all can be tough. While you have your customer on the phone, log into qtoffice and click on your customers tab. All you need to do is put in the first name of your customer; that will narrow the list down very quickly. Also, if you download a picture of your customer to their profile, then you can scroll over the box and it will show up. Perfect for finding out someones skin tone very quickly. If you don't have a picture loaded, this is the perfect time to book a before and after facial, or to do a professional women's portfolio.
13. Is there a limit to how many customers I can input?
Nope, keep em coming =)
14. Mary Kay is about to update their product line, do I have to move all of my products?
QT will take care of this for you, you can still find your products by product code, or just by doing a search for a keyword (which is any part of the product name). You will see the search box under the inventory button toward the top right of the screen, and if you ever find one that is in the wrong place, just let us know by clicking the contact us button at the top of the screen.
15. I have a bunch of packing material I would like to track, can I do this?
Yes, you can add ANY product you would like to track into QT Office. Just click on "Non-Mary Kay Inventory" under the "Inventory" button (right below the search bar). And don't worry about accidentally using a product code that Mary Kay does. Our programmers put in a hidden place holder so you can't use the same one twice. Your product code is whatever you want it to be. This is good for boxes, promotional items, prizes or whatever else you can think of.
16. Can I create an invoice for a customer that I don't have input into the system?
Yes and no. All you will need to input is a first and last name. This only takes a couple of seconds (you can fill the rest in later). You will want to do this anyway because building your customer base and keeping their information is always good for business.
17. I have a great idea for QT Office, can I share it?
Yes you can. In fact, a lot of improvements to QT over the years came directly from QT's like you. Just click on the "Account" button, then click on "Submit Suggestion". We review each of them. We cannot use all of them, but we know a great idea when we see one.
18. Are there instructions on how to use the site?
Everything is very easy to use. So easy to use in fact that our instructions are small enough to fit on the pages directly. Look for the blue text; the short instructions should be all you need. If you still can't figure something out (and we have all been there), then just click on Help at the top of the page. There are also videos under "Video Tutorials" at the top of your screen.
19. I love QT! Is it possible to have a representative speak to my unit?
The founder of QT Office, Jamie King, tries to make this service available. She cannot attend every meeting, but she can attend some. Also, conference calls are possible. She can speak about QT Office, and also about putting systems in place.
Just click the contact us button at the top of your screen to see what we can work out for you =)
